Compare Seville neighborhoods by walkability, charm, heat, noise and hotel value — Santa Cruz, El Arenal, Centro, Triana and Macarena.

The short version
  • Santa Cruz is the most atmospheric base — beautiful, central and beside the big icons, but lively at night.
  • El Arenal puts you by the river and the bullring; Centro is the value-and-shopping pick.
  • Triana, across the Guadalquivir, is the food-and-flamenco choice with a strong local feel.

Pick a base, then book early

Seville's centre is walkable, so the choice is mostly about character and noise. Santa Cruz is the classic romantic base; El Arenal trades a little charm for the river and calm; Centro is practical and well-priced; Triana is where you stay for tapas and tablaos. Around Feria de Abril and Semana Santa, book months ahead.
